Spun from super soft 70% british alpaca and 30 % mulberry silk the yarn is produced by micro-mill The Border Mill in the Scottish Borders. The tweed is so smooth, silky and soft with a lovely drape perfect for those with wool sensitivity or even allergies as alpaca is considered a hypoallergenic fur. Each piece is truly one-of-a-kind, as each tweed is only woven 18 meters or so at a time with each warp a different combination of colours and each length for a shawl, scarf each woven to be unique.
